Ras Kuuku calls out Kofi Kinaata for removing his verse from their collaborative song, Effiakuma Love'.

Ghanaian Reggae artist Ras Kuuku has revealed that he initially contributed a verse to Kofi Kinaata's popular track 'Effiakuma Love' in 2020, but it was later removed when the song was re-released in 2023 for reasons he's unsure of.

Speaking on Hitz FM on May 23, 2024, Ras Kuuku shared his experience, expressing his surprise at finding his verse missing from the updated version of the song. He hinted at potential reasons for its removal, suggesting humorously that his verse might have outshone Kofi Kinaata's, leading to a re-recording.

"Maybe my verse was better than his. The first time he recorded, his lyrics were dense; I provided a lighter touch. So perhaps after hearing my verse, they decided to have him re-record," Ras Kuuku mused.

Despite the disappointment of his verse being omitted, Ras Kuuku emphasized that there are no hard feelings between him and Kofi Kinaata. "I hold no grudge against him. Kofi is like a brother to me, so I took it in stride," he clarified.

However, when asked about the possibility of collaborating with Kofi Kinaata again, Ras Kuuku declined, stating, "No, I have plenty of verses. I won't pursue it further."

This revelation adds an interesting twist to the narrative surrounding 'Effiakuma Love,' a song that has resonated with many fans. Ras Kuuku's candid remarks shed light on the complexities of the music industry, where creative decisions can lead to unexpected changes.

Despite this setback, Ras Kuuku remains optimistic and focused on his music career. His willingness to openly discuss his experiences reflects his resilience and commitment to his art.
