Kingdom Tour 2024 - Kirk Franklin And Maverick City Music To Storm Ghana With Their Kingdom World Tour

Kirk Franklin and Maverick City Music have revealed Ghana as one of the destinations on their upcoming World Tour.


This will mark Kirk Franklin's second visit to Ghana and the debut performance in the country for Maverick City Music. The announcement has stirred considerable excitement among Ghanaian gospel music enthusiasts.

Renowned American gospel artist Kirk Franklin, a recipient of 19 Grammy Awards, is scheduled to perform in Ghana this August as part of his Africa-bound Kingdom world tour. 

Social media has been abuzz with anticipation, even though ticket sales for the concert have yet to commence.

In addition to Kirk Franklin, Maverick City Music, an urban gospel ensemble that has garnered five Grammy Awards, will also join the tour to Ghana for their inaugural performance in the country. 

Founded by Jonathan Jay and Ghanaian-American Norman Gyamfi, Maverick City Music is celebrated for their viral urban gospel hits such as "Jireh" and "Promises."

Kirk Franklin's previous performance in Ghana took place in 2013 at the Perez Dome during that year's Adom Praiz event. This upcoming tour promises to be a landmark event for gospel music lovers in Ghana, with expectations high for an extraordinary musical experience. 

Details regarding the venue for the concert in Ghana are yet to be disclosed, though there is hopeful speculation among fans that local urban gospel talents like Joe Mettle might also feature in the lineup.
