The event took place on August 12 at UPSA in Accra, bringing together party members and leaders, including the party's presidential aspirant, John Dramani Mahama, ahead of the upcoming elections.

The manifesto, titled "The Pledge," highlighted several youth-focused policies aimed at improving the party's prospects in the December 7 elections.

OliveTheBoy's performance featured hits from his popular Avana EP, including "Asylum" and "Good Sin." A video of the event shows Mahama enjoying the performance, even exchanging a hand gesture with the artist.

The performance sparked discussions on social media about musicians endorsing political parties, with fans comparing OliveTheBoy's involvement with the NDC to King Paluta's recent association with the National Patriotic Party (NPP).

Reactions from fans varied, with some supporting OliveTheBoy's right to choose his political affiliations, while others drew comparisons to past criticisms faced by artists like Sarkodie and King Paluta.

Earlier reports revealed that OliveTheBoy, a 21-year-old signed to Sony Music's Columbia Records, had temporarily paused his academic studies to focus on his rapidly rising music career.
