’The New False’ unveiled as Lekzy DeComic stages comedy special on September 28

The mystery behind the "The New False" billboards has been revealed, and it turns out to be none other than comedian Lekzy DeComic, dispelling rumors that a political figure was involved. The unveiling took place during a press conference on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Grand Casamora in East Legon, Accra.

Lekzy, who has spent the last eleven years cementing his place in the comedy industry, is gearing up for his latest comedy special. Determined to take both his craft and Ghanaian stand-up comedy to new heights, he announced his upcoming special, set for September 28, 2024.

The highly anticipated event, taking place at the UPSA Auditorium in Accra, is expected to be his biggest and funniest yet. Titled *The New False*, the show aims to diffuse the country's political tension through humor, while also addressing key societal issues in a clever, non-confrontational way.

Lekzy has previously captivated audiences with comedy specials like 'Too Cute to be Mute 1K', 'Too Cute to be Mute (Amplified Edition)', and 'CanPAIN MESSage'. He’s graced the stage at top Ghanaian events, including Laughline Comedy Show, Easter Comedy Show, Comedy Fiesta, and more.

His talent has also taken him beyond Ghana, with performances at international shows such as the Bloemfontein International Comedy Festival, Extreme Comedy Wednesday in South Africa, and Go Bananas Comedy Club in the U.S.

Lekzy’s accolades include winning Best Comedy Special at the 2024 Ghana Comedy Awards for *CanPAIN MESSage*.
