Bad News for Real Madrid: Brahim Diaz to face close to three months on the sidelines due to a muscle injury in his right abductor.

Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz faces time on the sidelines after sustaining a thigh injury, raising concerns about his availability for the remainder of the year.

Reports suggest Diaz could be out for up to three months, which would see him return in December. The Moroccan joins a growing list of Real Madrid injuries, including Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga.

In Real Madrid’s 2-0 win against Real Sociedad, Diaz was forced off the pitch just 20 minutes into the match. Medical tests revealed a significant injury to the long abductor muscle in his right leg, with recovery prospects looking uncertain.

Fabrizio Romano recently reported that Diaz is expected to miss at least eight weeks.

However, with upcoming international breaks, Real Madrid may choose a more cautious approach, potentially keeping him out until November or beyond

Further tests next week should provide a clearer recovery timeline, but The Athletic suggests his absence could extend up to three months.

If Diaz is out for the full three months, he could miss as many as 19 matches, including key Champions League games against Stuttgart, Lille, AC Milan, Dortmund, and Liverpool.

La Liga fixtures against top teams like Atletico Madrid, Villarreal, Barcelona, and Girona would also be impacted.

He joins David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga, and Dani Ceballos in the infirmary, bringing the number of confirmed absences for Carlo Ancelotti’s first Champions League match against Stuttgart to four.

Jude Bellingham and Aurélien Tchouaméni are close to returning, while the medical review of Éder Militao confirmed he has "slight discomfort in his right leg," but no issues with the knee that was operated on.
