Halle Bailey and DDG Split Less Than 1 Year After Welcoming 1st Baby

Halle Bailey and DDG have parted ways less than a year after welcoming their first child together. 

The couple, who began dating in early 2022, share a son, Halo, born in December 2023. They revealed his face to the public for the first time in July 2024.

Despite their nearly three-year relationship, they have decided to go their separate ways. 

DDG, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., shared the news on Instagram, stating that the decision to split was difficult but ultimately the best choice for both of them. 

DDG wrote on Instagram, “After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us.”

He expressed gratitude for the time they spent together, emphasizing that their love for each other remains genuine, even though their relationship has changed.

Bailey has not yet publicly commented on the breakup, but DDG confirmed that they plan to co-parent their son, asking fans for understanding and support as they navigate this transition.

“As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co- parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared. As we navigate this transition, we ask for your understanding and support. Thank you for your love and encouragement. – DDG.”

Halle, who typically keeps her personal life private, had previously explained that she chose not to reveal her son's birth immediately, describing him as her greatest blessing and expressing no obligation to expose her family to the public. 

The actress and rapper first sparked romance rumors in January 2022, going public with their relationship in March of the same year.
