Baba Sadiq breached our contract - Stonebwoy speaks on SallahFest absence

Ghanaian music superstar Stonebwoy has offered insights into his absence from the April 2024 SallahFest. 

Initially slated as a headliner alongside his rival Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy's no-show sparked speculation. 

According to Baba Sadiq Abdulai Abu, the controversy stemmed from Stonebwoy's manager objecting to Shatta Wale's inclusion in the lineup.

Speaking to Hitz FM, Stonebwoy addressed the issue, highlighting a breach of their agreement regarding event promotion. 

He clarified that they had agreed the event would be a charity show, unadvertised. However, Sadiq's decision to promote it publicly with flyers violated this pact, leading to Stonebwoy's withdrawal, a decision conveyed to the organizers.

Stonebwoy emphasized they could have feigned illness to withdraw discreetly but opted for transparency. 

He expressed disappointment over the ensuing backlash, which even reached his family, leading to personal attacks and false narratives. 

Despite this, Stonebwoy chose not to retaliate publicly. Instead, he pursued legal action against Baba Sadiq for defamation, addressing the matter with measured silence.
